Bahía Blanca (Carlos Di Sarli) - phrasing practice


In this exercise, we train our hearing to sense the energy of the orchestra in certain parts of musical phrases. These energetic moments are best for dance movements. I annotated those counts with white color while all the rest are grey: good for dramatic pausing, changing directions, and - catching your breath!  I also added accented beats in red, to indicate where an embellishment may be very fitting. Level 1 gives you most help, while at Level 3 you are one on one with the music...
